@kaniini @jeff Combine with federation and a decent array of moderator tools, I think I can actually tackle this fairly well. Each server gets to choose their own policy for anonymity - none, pseudo (You need an account, and the mods for that server can see who you are, but no one else can), and total (No account, no tracking, no nothing). That, combined with varying policies on moderation - None, reports and deletions after the fact, each post needing prior moderator approval, and instances being able to block or suspend each other, or even just "all anonymous content" from each other, will allow for a pretty high degree of finesse. :/

I'm trying to allow large numbers of people to talk about complex subjects and come to meaningful conclusions. Basically, I want to revolutionize mass communication. So that simple questions like "Should gay people be able to marry" don;t take 50+ years to resolve, and more complicated ones can actually be tackled with a reasonable degree of finesse. XD

Alright, gonna go back to working on Agora. Here's hoping to make some real progress. XD

@hypolite @DaveHiggins Eh, I think the underlying problem there is that under our current system, the most stable arrangement is two parties, and so everything breaks down to that. And when the stakes are as they are, things will get a bit heated. :/

Perhaps this is a result of our different thinking styles? Like that claim about how the left favors a 2 strand morality, while the right favors a 5 strand, where the strands are fairness and harm reduction for the left, and that plus purity, in group identification, and respect for authority for the right. I don't know if any of this is true, but it sounds interesting, at least. :/

So a thought Just occurred to me. You know that old leftist thibg about circular firing squads? Well I've heard the right has the opposite problem - constant and ubiquitous scams. Televangelists, telemarketers, phony politicians, fake charities, the works.
