Does anyone know of a good theoretical solution to Sybil attacks? Like, in the transhumanist future, what if you can just make a bunch of real people who have strong heartfelt opinions that just so happen to agree with yours about everything? (Of course, if everyone does this, we all have equal relative influence, and this might not even be the worst game Moloch makes us play since it seems like these semi-copies I'm forced to create could be ~friends~, but it still seems kinda bad.)
@lukesci I actually started writing a story that has something like this as part of the background. The solution there is "Enough people agree that it's a bad idea to stop everyone from doing it." :/
