I have a theory that because of its non-commercial nature and distributed architecture, with human monitoring of each node as well as the overall traffic, that Mastodon should be much harder for bots distributing fake news to penetrate than fiset generation social media like Twitter and Facebook. Would love to hear thoughts on this from others here, particularly some of the administrators.

@BertL Ehh, it depends. You would need /different/ strategies, certainly, but I'm not convinced it's inherently harder. Now, it doesn have one advantage in that the management is much closer to the ground, so any suspicious activity should be acted upon much faster. We'll see how much thats worth next election cycle. :/
