@gemlog Mmm, I agree! I actually note in the preface that if you have a religion you're happy with, you might not want to read the book. I'm also gonna add a bit in the intro about how this book is mainly for atheists who want the structure of a more formal belief system.
@Angle Just to note that religions aren't all bad. They provide social cohesiveness and most promote good behaviour socially by imposing a code of conduct on their adherents. Nothing is perfect, but often better than nothing. You don't want to end up like 'The virtues of selfishness' surely? Unless you do I suppose. Most people aren't into philo and need some signposts. Religion is a good delivery mechanism.
