I don't know the name or author, but there's a dude, and he goes through the Bermuda triangle or something, and slips into another world? And there are sorts of freaky aliens, and someone's handing out magic apples, and I think at the ed he accepts an Apple? And he meets some other people who went through before him, and they're really happy to have a chance to eat bread again cause there's no bread here. sci-fi, novel, pretty old? :/
