Comrade Angles @Angle

Every time I ride the bus through a big city, I can't help but think there's something sad but beautiful about it. All these people, trying to weave their lives together for mutual benefit. All the endless effort spent pouring concrete, laying asphalt. All the blood, sweat and tears, trying to make the world a better place. :/

@Angle I have these feels a lot when I look out and see all the construction on the Toronto Skyline. I can see 10-15 cranes at any given time and at night, when they're all lit up and the little glass windows that contain people's whole worlds are spread out before me in their thousands... I think about how humanity must have gonads made of steel to come this far and huddle in such huge groups, stabbing the sky and slaying the darkness.

@Angle I'm the same whenever my train to and from college goes by NYC- it sets off my "Holy shit, my species BUILT THIS with SHEER PROMETHEAN WILL" instinct like nothing else

It's the same feeling as when I think about looking up at the Moon and seeing a spiderweb of city lights
