Hey @Gargron! Suppose I wanted to ditch Agora's current backend, a tangled mass of node.js javascript, and steal Mastodon's backend for that purpose instead. Is that cool with you? :P
@woozle Agora's front end is pretty separate, I think? Though I didn't write all that much of it and don't actually know it that well, so don't quote me on that. :/
@woozle ...Actually, now that I think about it Agora relies pretty heavily on meteor templates for it's front end. So it might not be that easy after all. :/
@Angle Yeah, I think I played with Meteor once. It's a nice cage, but don't try to escape from it... (impression formed after very little actual tinkering, mind you)

If I write a backend that basically provides the same structure as Agora, can you adapt the web UI to work with it?
...no, I'm not quite sure how this would work either, but that's partly because I don't know enough about Agora's internals.
