Hey all, I need a name for my Low Fantasy GURPS ASCII Dungeon Crawler. Any suggestions? XD

@sydneyfalk Gritty and immersive? Kinda like fantasy XCom.

@sydneyfalk Hmm, that seems like a good tagline. Maybe <something>: Tales of Steel and Blood?

@Angle

I like that as a tag, yeah! That'd play good, esp. with 'tales' in front there

is it A dungeon, or SEVERAL dungeons?

if it's A dungeon, maybe the name of the dungeon, then ": Tales of" after that

@sydneyfalk No, it's several dungeons. It is a region, though. On the other hand, I don't have a name for that either... XD

@Angle

there you go -- region name, and you've got all the hallmarks that say "this is a fantasy game"

- unusual world
- reference to fighting with bladed weapons
- vaguely archaic word use

@sydneyfalk Mmm, yeah. Now I just need a region name. Carvendaugh? Eh. :/

@Angle

Plus, you want it to 'sound' brutal -- the 'Carv' is good, the 'daugh' sounds -- soft, maybe squishy.

Carven would work by itself better, maybe?

Croven? I feel like it's a less-is-more kinda thing, maybe. If it's meant to be a "wide and varied" kinda fantasy land. Some of them are One Land Of Many, like in Elder Scrolls, so the names are very different between 'lands' involved.

Comrade Angles @Angle

@sydneyfalk I was thinking "daugh" pronounced like "Auugh!", but yeah. :/

@Angle

It's not a bad thought, but 'dough' is a more common word, so it kinda pulls the ugh sound into squishy-seeming, IMO.

('dargh' might work better? 'argh' is a sound of displeasure, and that'd definitely sound dungeon-crawly)
