Hey so would anyone he interested in hearing me toot about the game I'm working on right now? I don't want to spam people or anything, but if there's interest I'd love to go on about it.

Awesome! Well, to start with, I'm thinking I'm going to have it use Ascii graphics, though maybe with a fancy interface so you can zoom in and out, and the characters can be different sizes and I can use multiple of them to represent any given tile, etc, etc.

The game play will be kinda like fantasy Dungeon Crawler XCOM, hopefully using the GURPS Ruleset if SJ Games will let me. It'll be a fairly classic dungeon crawl - you show up at the dungeon with your dudes, try and kill all the monsters, survive the traps, and take their stuff.

@Angle ASCII graphics, huh? hm...I'm trying to think of how that would look. Like, I've never actually played a game with an ASCII graphics interface except for a tiny bit of some dungeon-crawling game or other that used ASCII, back in 1992, and that's a different kind of thing from what you're talking about, right?

Comrade Angles @Angle

@alyx Mmm, yeah. For this, most of the art will consist of ASCII Characters turned different colors, expanded/shrank, and maybe rotated. Most games that use ASCII keep their graphs all the same size and orientation, but I wanna see what it looks like if I break that rule. XD

@Angle ohhhh, now I see what you're up to! So not literal ASCII graphics like produced by some programmer's library, you're talking about something just a bit more creative
