This week I had a job interview, and I was in a room alone with a man I didn't know. I was nervous because of the possible technical questions. After that he offered me to bring me to my rehearsal. It hasn't occured me a single time he could even harass me.

I wonder if with the first employer, my gut feeling was already telling me that that company and client was a dangerous place for women.

Something that just struck me: before my employer offered me a contract, I went with one representative of this company to visit the client and future project manager, to see if he wanted us to work for him. I remember I was very nervous, not because of the possible technical questions, but because I was affraid they could assault me.

I also refused when my then project manager offered me to drive me to the bus stop, because he was being an accomplice of this mysoginists, but also because he used to make very unapropiate comments and questions about my body. Again, I was affraid that if I went hith him, he would rape me, or at least touch me at unappropiate places.

Intuitively I already knew this, and that is exaclty why I started to give the cold shoulder to certain (ex)coworkers long time ago, and mostr importantly, why I told myself to never ever go have a drink with them. First I didn't want to beacuse I had other priorities, and then I didn't want to because I was affraid they would sexually assault me.

@paulfree14 I have always lived in a world with money, and I'm unable to imagine a world without.

Plus I don't know how this should work.
