I really hate when people *make* you one dimensional. They find out you are involved with one thing and suddenly that's all they say, all they talk about, all they will allow you to be.
It's actually why I got out of kpop, because people heard I liked one Korean band or maybe two, and then, every time anything ever came up with Korea, they HAD to talk about it with me, magically didn't acknowledge anything I said not related to kpop, etc.
It became a joke to ridicule me about kpop and make snide comments to everyone I met for the first time about how I wanted to be Korean and live in Korea (I didn't), and ruined any potential relationships, friendships and agency I could've had.
I’m sure all of Monsterpit feels the same way.
