Shhit Fuck
So
That kindle I got
showed that it was registered to the previous owner's account... and I couldn't get it to connect to deregister it, so I just did a factory reset, which appeared to have deregistered it. But it wasn't letting me register it with my account, so I figured i'd just go try to buy something to force it to let me log in in a different way
Except
It didn't, it just one click purchased it
so I just bought a kyell gold book with some stranger's amazon account
There was a cancel button, so I canceled it instantly but like STILL
They're going to see that lmao
And this also means there's no way to deregister it without contacting them because the device still thinks it's not registered with an account, but is
Update: Ebay seller appears to be a third party and not the actual previous owner, so I have no way of contacting this person to tell them to deregister the thing and to apologize for buying and instantly refunding furry bullshit using their account
Okay that appears to have still not changed the account that the store thinks it's registered with. Amazon support can't do anything without approval from the previous owner...
HMMMM
if you buy stuff (like you have done) and they see it, they might eventually deactivate it on their end, maybe?
gotta love accidental kindle (kinda) identity theft!
quick joke warning, though: if it turns out you're actually a character in a movie, this'll /definitely/ lead into a romance or something (probably with some awful 'love is kindling' lines).
